Management Knowledge And Concept Issues During The...

There are a lot of the management knowledge and concept issues during the foundation of management from week 1 to week 5. Therefore, I am going to have a discussion on four different areas of the management study which has the most relevant to the effective management of contemporary organization. The four different areas of management which I learnt are the workforce diversity, the principle of the scientific management, Maslows’ theory of human needs, and the ethical behaviors of the organization. They all contribute to improve the effectiveness of the management in the contemporary organizations, while there are also some of the developed knowledge in related to them and the developed knowledge will also be discussed in the following paragraphs. At the end of this article, an overall sum up of all the four areas of management will be provided as in conclusion. 1. Workforce Diversity The definition of workforce diversity is the difference of the employees in the workplace, which can be the different gender, different race, different nationalities, different age, different culture, different sexual orientation, and so on. The workforce diversity is unavoidable in the workplace and it is necessary for the human resource manager to appreciate the difference among different employees.
